An Experiment in Adjusting an Alcohol-based Reality Filter.

Everytime I pass the Los Angeles National Cemetery I pause to give thanks. It is sobering seeing the rows of white markers, and the fields of green with the in-ground markers that are oft forgotten as they are not so visible. Last Monday, there was a lone figure standing ramrod straight at attention before a grave. Even now, tears are easy to come. Was it a father, grandfather, uncle, or a buddy that brought this man to pay his respects.
I wonder how many others pause to pay their respects as they race past this hallowed place on the adjacent freeway. Hopefully,....
