Kind thoughts for Deborah Leigh...

She got T-boned last weekend in the car she'd bought just three weeks ago.  The VA finally figgered out Friday that she has a concussion so she's spending the weekend off her feet.  Drop her a get-well-soon here.

  4. Get well soon, Deborah!

(Man, that had to be a severely bad accident. Deborah has a pretty hard head to concuss!)

  5. T-boned at an intersection? Been there, done that. Truck rolled over twice, concussion and dislocated shoulder, three days in the hospital on drugs. No memory of it, just waking up in the hospital, thinking "I'm in a hospital!" Not fun.

    Glad to hear Deborah's OK.

  6. Sorry to hear that. TBone, concussion, quite serious stuff. You have to take time to recover slowly.

Very best wishes for recuperating. Hope to read your interesting comments again soon.

  9. Wishing you a speedy recovery, Deborah.

Now the potential good news: the concussion I suffered in 1977 made me more conservative!

  12. Hi Everyone,
Thank you for all the kind words! I'm overwhelmed by your support! The doctors say it will be a few months before normal comes back. It could have been far worse. Luckily, no one was seriously injured. Amazingly, Richard wasn't hurt, at least that's his story. He chalks up the various aches and pains to the hard work he did at Operation Gratitude the day before. The seventeen year old that hit us is lucky to have escaped with only severe admonishement and murderous thoughts. The poor car didn't fare as well. Just to think that it managed twenty years with only one owner, barely turning 55,000 miles a few days before, only to have this....Being Conservative hope must spring eternal that it can be fixed. I like the old girl. We didn't even have time to trick her out with Conservative magnets. Although we did get new floor mats.

Thanks again, everyone! You're the best!

    Deborah Leigh

    Thank

  14. Well, the fact that it posted twice should prove my state of being. Gives new meaning to that old disco song, "Ringing My Bell". No birdies or stars, but the bells of almost every cathedral and church were going off.
