I long for the day when all Muslim women cast off their burkas! When the men who impose the wearing of these fabric prisons come to their senses. I don't think it will ever happen, but I can dream.

Came across this while searching specifically for it. It's from the graphic novel "Wonder Woman: The Spirit of Truth" written by Paul Dini and illustrated by the amazing Alex Ross, whose artwork is more like a painting than a comic book panel. In this scene, she recounts a time when she went undercover after hearing that a local Middle Eastern warlord was using unarmed women and children as human shields. She wears a burqa at first, but when the time comes to fight, she tosses it aside, stating, "If it's human shields they want, I am happy to volunteer."
If you can't tell, I'm a huge Wonder Woman fan.
