I cannot urge you strongly enough to resist the urge to offer or accept any sort of 'compromise' with the absconding Democrats on the unions or any other issue. It would be the equivalent of offering a 'compromise' to a thug holding hostages in a robbed liquor store. The only viable response to their conduct is uncompromising resistance.
What happens in Wisconsin will set the tone for political relations in the states and between the states and DC for years to come. Please stand strong, for your citizens, your party and your country.

I second that! I would add a request to punish the legislators who fled the state and their responsiblities. Perhaps a docking their pay and holding a special election is in order. With regard to the teachers, they should have pay docked if proof of sickness is not provided. Those teachers who brought their students to these protests should have to produce parental approval slips. In addition, there should be an investigation into how those students were transported to the protests. If district vehicles were used then the approving parties should be disciplined. Taxpayers should not have to pay for that. The teacher/demonstrators have proven the falsehood that it is "all about the children".
It has been pointed out that they are only being to ask to pay their fair share. President Obama has said that these are our neighbors, relatives, and friends. Well, these two concepts need to be melded into "we are only asking our neighbors, relatives, and friends to pay their fair share."
God bless the Governor in his stance! Stay strong!

Hear! Hear!
Governor Walker will stand strong. However, we have a few squishy Republican Senators that we really have to keep tabs on.
