Deborah Leigh said...Almost every immigrant that I've talked to agrees with Ian's sentiments.
A Ukranian man told me at the 4th of July festivities that he made sure his little daughter knows how great this country is, and how luck they are to be here. He said no one goes hungry unless they are lazy. He sends pictures of the roast he bought for $5.00 to his cousins in the Ukraine. They are amazed to see such a big piece of meat, and at that price.
People die to get into America. That Ukrainian man could have gone anywhere, but he picked America. Profound. Thank God I was born American! Thank God for the opportunity that others have to become one with us!
