"...and it came to pass that his disciples did come unto Obama, and were fraught,
and did cry unto him,
"Lord, Lord, the people despair, and are wrought,
and do cry out for employment,
and so do they say that shall they not have jobs,
then yet may they still have our asses.
"And Obama did hear them, and his heart was moved,
and so did he gather up jobs,
and their number was one-hundred and foureen thousand,
and then did he say:
"Take these jobs and give them in my name,
for it is known
that jobs cometh not from industry,
nor yet from crafts,
nor yet from the tillage of the soil,
for truly is it said that jobs come not from the sweat of thy brow,
or the cleverness of thy wit,
But from the divine benevolence of the state
in my name.
"And his disciples did take the jobs,
whose number was one-hundred and foureen thousand,
and did bestow them amongst the people who were wrought,
And when the scraps of that bestowal were gathered up,
then yet did the jobs number eight-hundred and seventy-three thousand.
"And the people who once were wrought were then amazed,
for in his mercy did not Obama merely create a vast and incomprehensible
multitude of jobs, then yet did he further create
still another increase in unemployment applications upon that
suchsame day.
"And the people were amazed, and went severally away, and did
talk greatly of Obama to their repo men and their kids who yet still
did not move away and get a damned job..."

Deborah Leigh said... And the people who were once wrought did now exclaim, "Verily, our cups doth run over with the goodness of the One! We shall follow him all our days as faithful sheep unto a good shepherd." And so they went from their homes to spread the word of the goodness of One from town to town, every home and even to the dead that they might rise again.
And vote.
I think that many leaders in our world do see themselves as Gods... many a true word spoken in jest :)
